I have arrived
After all the anticipation, I finally made it to the castle [Disneyland]! It was even more wonderful than I imagined it to be. Seeing the fireworks over the castle illuminated in purple (my favorite color) was the best part, even if I did bury my head in Mommy's shoulder to block my ears from the noise. I enjoyed meeting Mickey, Santa Goofy, and Pluto and playing in their homes (especially Goofy's). The rides were fun too. I felt at home on the carousel, train, and horse drawn cable car, all of which we rode several times. Dumbo and Casey Circus Train were worth the long waits. I was totally speechless on Small World, Tea Cups, Pooh and Jungle Cruise; I didn't know quite what to make of them. I even rode a small roller coaster for the first time. When we went down the first hill, I screamed "Daddeeeee!" and Daddy yelled, "I got you!" and held me tight. Thereafter, I was super intrigued by all the other roller coasters. Since it was really crowded our last day, I opted to watch people on Splash Mountain and scream "Aaaaah!" as they went down. I can't wait to grow taller so I can ride the roller coasters.
Here is my look of "awe and wonderment" as I gaze upon the castle for the first time. I have to admit that I was disappointed that Cinderella was nowhere near the castle, and that I had to find her at a restaurant. But I did meet and got autographs from the main 5 princesses in the Disney sorority, so that was pretty cool.
I may not be smiling here with Cinderella, but when do I ever sit on any stranger's lap willingly???!
It was indeed The Happiest Place On Earth.
