On my own
Ever since the scare I gave everyone when I caught a cold last summer, I've been puffing Flovent (asthma maintenance medicine) every day to prevent any asthma complications from colds. I don't know if it's the Flovent, the fact that I love washing my hands repeatedly, or that I caught every cold there was to catch last year already, but this cold season has thankfully been very uneventful. I've only had a runny nose here and there, and recovered in a couple of days, so nothing serious. (knock on wood!) Anyway, now that spring is here and the roughest part of cold & flu season is over, the doctor has said that I can stop the Flovent, go it alone, and see if my lungs are stronger now that I'm older. Wish me luck!

First potty success!
I went dookie on the potty for the first time today! Not only was it a bowel movement, but it was on the BIG potty! And we weren't even at home - we were at a-Ma's (Daddy's Mommy) house! Everyone could tell by my concentrated expression that I was trying to go. Daddy thought I was done and was about to change my diaper, but I said "potty!" So he set me down on the big potty and VOILA! I have not produced anything before in my visits to the potty, so everyone was so happy for me! They rewarded me by taking me to Jamba Juice (Jamba Juice and Top Dog are my favorite meal) and letting me watch lots of Thomas Choo Choo and Elmo! If this is the way I get to watch more TV, maybe I'll try this trick more often...
(Although Mommy is quite a picture freak, thankfully she elected to spare herself and everyone by NOT photographically recording this momentous event.)

Preschool report
I have been at the preschool for 2 months now, and I am transitioning very well. Eventhough I say "no way!" when Mommy tells me it's time for school in the morning, I am comfortable enough that I don't even look back at Mommy when she drops me off there. At the same time, I am still testing out the waters, so I am very quiet while I am at school. I have always been a keen observer, so I sit back and watch everything that is going on. And I am well behaved all day; I don't dare throw a temper tantrum, mistreat anyone or otherwise attract attention. Who knows what these people would do to me? The only time I really talk is when I am in my cot about to take a nap. Then I sing to myself and go blah blah blah! This attracts the attention of the older kids, who come over, sing me lullabies and pat me to sleep. They are sweet, giving me hugs, taking me under their wings and helping me whenever I need it.
My favorite activities are pouring or putting objects from one container to another. The teachers tell my parents that this is the Montessori preparation for reading (left to right eye coordination) and writing (pinching the tweezers to build hand muscles), but I don't care about that stuff and think it's just fun. Since I love reading, I often curl up in the classroom's reading couch with a good book. I enjoy art, but since I'm so cleanly, I throw it away before my parents get to see it. Overall, I'm enjoying school!

Like my haircut?
I love making my hair pretty! But I didn't like my second haircut. This time Mommy took me to a shop (first time), and even though they had horses and Elmo, I screamed! Mommy had to hold me because I kept trying to get off the horse, and the lady did the best under the circumstances. She put a bow in my hair afterward which made me feel better. Mommy then cut more hair when we got home. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I visit Sesame Street!
My parents and I went to Sesame Street this weekend! I am crazy about Elmo so I was super thrilled to meet him.
The rest of the weekend was spent in Portland visiting relatives and friends. My favorite spot was the airport: play structure with slides, airplanes, flat screen TVs with cartoons, hot dogs, big open empty spaces, moving walkways! Daddy describes it as the "Best Airport Ever." Check out this video of me making a phone call at the airport:

"F*ck", please!
Ever since I turned two, I have been able to hold conversations with my parents. Well, I don't talk in full sentences quite yet, and sometimes I have my own pronunciation that only people that know me understand. Others might be quite shocked when I talk. Here are my current most notable Izzy-isms:
- f*ck - fork (I say everytime we eat), truck (I yell everytime I see one), fox
- f*ck old Joe - trot old Joe (currently my favorite song which I sing over and over again)
- f*cking - napkin
(I promise you that Mommy cleaned up her potty mouth so it's not her fault...)
