A nice birthday
I had a total of 4 birthday celebrations this year! I had a birthday ceremony at school for the first time. We gathered at circle, and my teacher and I showed everyone a poster of pictures of me at different ages. I held a globe, and walked around the sun 4 times while the entire class counted. I counted my age using the number rods. Then my class sang happy birthday and we celebrated with oatmeal cranberry muffins. Mmm! Two of my friends left early so I asked Mommy if we could drop off muffins at their home. We had a spontaneous playdate where I dressed up as a superhero (Batman)! It was storming pretty hard, so instead of eating at the pizza restaurant as I originally wanted, George and my future in-laws came over for dinner. I love George, and I wrote "I (heart) you!" on my thank you card to him. The heart didn't quite look like a heart; it looked more like "I (pacman) you!" Mommy is bummed that George got a I-love-you note from me before she did!
The next day we had a big dinner with Mommy's side of the family. Mommy made chocolate cupcakes - I had 3, or was it 4? and lots of ice cream. I barely touched my sukiyaki and ham because I needed to make room for all my dessert. I knew I could get away with it on my birthday!
Here is a picture of me and my cousins. (One of them was visiting from D.C. - just for little ol' me?) They're more like uncles to me!
